Responsibilities*
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service in an ambulatory setting
  • Conduct Check In/Check Out
  • Schedule Patients for appointments, tests, and consults
  • Verify and Update Patient Information
  • Obtain referrals and/or prior authorizations
  • Confirm Patient Charges and Collect Payment
  • Maintain and Manage In-Baskets in a timely manner
  • Execute varied clerical tasks of the front office
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*
  • Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired Qualifications*
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Solid working knowledge of computers and navigating multiple computer applications
  • Able to multi-task in a robust, fast paced environment
  • Professional and Positive Interaction with Patients, Providers, and Staff
  • Ability to work independently, identifying priorities while contributing as an active team member
  • Basic Medical Terminology
  • Existing MiChart or EHR experience
  • Knowledge of UMHS policies and procedures
    Demonstrated record of excellent attendance.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team setting.

Modes of Work
