ROLE Description
This is a remote (work-from-home) position, W-2, not a contractor, a temporary engagement for 4-5 months (October 16, 2026 - Feb. 20 or March 20, 2027). Wage is $25.00/hr + full benefits. Hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pacific, Monday - Friday.
The Temp Sales Associate (Residential Solar) is a positive, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced sales support role. This person will join a small team supporting our client's residential solar sales representatives, keeping the sales pipeline moving and ensuring leads are handled quickly and accurately. In this position, you will work closely with the client's Residential Solar Operations team to prescreen and route inbound leads, keep Salesforce records current, and support project scheduling, executing daily tasks.
This person should have a passion for excellent customer service (phone, email, and chat) and understand how quick, accurate lead handling drives sales outcomes for our client. They are proactive about anything that affects the HigherRing-client relationship and any opportunities to optimize the client's work. They work closely with peer team members and management to support the values and mission of the client, and they are effective communicators.
We expect team members to manage themselves and to come to any meetings prepared to talk about their status, opportunities, and challenges. We also expect them to escalate to the team management as needed for support, guidance, and mentoring.
FURTHER Details:
  • Assists residential solar sales representatives with the sales pipeline and project scheduling
  • Updates records in Salesforce as needed
  • Prescreens inbound leads for viability, then assigns them to a residential solar sales representative or commercial solar project developer
  • Responds to inbound leads promptly, typically within minutes or as soon as business hours allow
  • Proactively requests assistance and additional information when needed
  • Collaborates with the client's Residential Solar Operations team on project scheduling, customer communication, and related responsibilities
  • Appropriately sorts and forwards service leads to System Performance intake
  • Performs other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: 2+ years in sales support, customer service, or a related field
  • Prior solar-industry experience with solar-specific tools (OpenSolar, Energy Toolbase)
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a way that is professional, friendly, and reassuring.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-up
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted tools (lead triage, research, drafting responses) as part of a values-aligned workflow
