Job Description Pipefitter - Commercial & Industrial Projects Company: Hire Strategies Location: Charlotte, NC Job Type: Temp Schedule: Monday-Friday, overtime as needed Pay: Competitive, based on experience About the Opportunity Hire Strategies is seeking experienced Pipefitters for commercial and industrial projects in the Charlotte area. This opportunity is with one of our established mechanical construction clients supporting active projects involving HVAC, mechanical piping, and industrial piping systems. This is a great fit for someone with hands-on pipefitting experience who can read drawings, install piping systems, and work safely and efficiently on active job sites.

Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for commercial and industrial projects. Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, specifications, and project layouts. Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and fit pipe using proper tools and equipment.

Install valves, fittings, hangers, supports, and related mechanical components. Work with materials such as steel, copper, PVC, and other piping systems as required. Support HVAC piping, hydronic systems, chilled water, hot water, steam, or process piping projects.

Assist with layout and coordination of piping routes with foremen, supervisors, and other trades. Perform pressure testing and inspect systems for leaks, alignment, and proper installation. Follow OSHA, company, and jobsite safety procedures at all times.

Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area. Qualifications Previous pipefitting experience in commercial, industrial, or mechanical construction. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and piping drawings.

Experience with pipe layout, cutting, threading, grooving, fitting, and installation. Familiarity with HVAC piping, hydronic piping, chilled water, hot water, steam, or process piping preferred. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pipe threaders, groovers, and measuring equipment.

Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices. Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work in active construction environments. Reliable transportation to job sites in the Charlotte area.

OSHA 10 preferred. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working on commercial and industrial job sites.
