Job description

Jackson & Coker is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist for a 3-month locum tenens assignment in California, starting as soon as credentialed. This role involves both clinic hours and weekend call coverage in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of IR procedures and comfortable with a busy caseload.

Practice Info

  • Inpatient setting
  • 1.0 FTE, with 1 provider needed, possibly 2
  • Average daily studies from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Plain film X-Ray: 100, Ultrasounds: 35, CT: 100, IR Cases: 7
  • Average studies from 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM: 48 studies consisting mostly of CT, Ultrasound, and plain X-Ray
  • EMR: Cerner
  • PACS System: Merge PACS
  • Voice Recognition System: Powerscribe

Responsibilities

  • Perform Lumbar punctures
  • Perform Barium studies
  • Perform various centesis exams with drains and CT/US biopsies
  • Perform IR Procedures (Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy Tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, Chest Tubes, Suprapubic Catheters)
  • Perform Biopsies (Thyroid, Lung, Other)
  • Supervise barium swallows
