What You'll Do
- Set up and operate computed tomography (CT) and radiology equipment for diagnostic imaging
- Properly position patients, utilizing safe lifting and immobilization techniques
- Identify patients, review medical histories, and confirm allergies
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously, following protocols
- Capture, develop, and store digital X-Ray and CT images for patient records
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures and provide emergency assistance if needed, including CPR
- Maintain equipment calibration, quality control, and ensure proper repairs are scheduled
- Follow safety standards set by the Michigan Department of Public Health and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Assist radiologists and physicians with specialized procedures and review clinical data to support diagnosis
- Train new personnel as needed
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and departmental assessments
What You Need
- Valid Michigan Radiologic Technologist License and CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in X-Ray and CT procedures
- Strong understanding of imaging protocols, patient safety, and equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a team setting
