Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilledSr. Prototype Technicianto support prototype build activities for next-generation electric vehicle programs. This role is critical to ensure the seamless introduction of new designs from engineering into prototype and pre-production phases. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to drive timely delivery of prototype builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly/Build the next generation of EV vehicles

Clearly communicate finds during builds to leadership

Assemble vehicle to engineering specifications

Interface with engineers to ensure proper assembly of vehicles.

Ensure clear communication of design intent, changes, and build issues across stakeholders

Support continuous improvement of prototype build processes, tools, and standards.

Identify and communicate risks to prototype build execution.

Qualifications:

Degree in Automotive Technology or ASE Certification

2+ years of experience in OEM/Dealership repair shop

Experience in the automotive industry or Manufacturing is a must.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs using CAD tools such as Catia, 3DX etc.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, and dynamic environment.

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with OEM low-volume builds, including EV propulsion systems, harnessing, body-in-white, chassis, or interior components.

Fabrication skills

Automotive High Voltage understander and experience
