Job description

A&A Safety, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Foreman to join our team. This leadership role oversees on-site traffic control operations for roadway and highway projects, ensuring the safety of the traveling public, crew members, and project partners. The MOT Foreman leads the implementation and maintenance of Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) plans and serves as the primary field-level connection between A&A Safety management and field crews.

Our offerings include traffic control, pavement marking, construction and roadway signage, traffic control devices, personal protective equipment, and graphic design services.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including signs, cones, barrels, barricades, and arrow boards.
  • Implement and adjust Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) plans to safely direct traffic through work zones.
  • Supervise MOT crews (technicians and flaggers); assign tasks and conduct daily safety briefings.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, other A&A Safety crews, customers, law enforcement, utilities, and inspectors as needed.
  • Monitor work zones and traffic conditions; respond to emergencies or changing site conditions.
  • Enforce safety standards and exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
  • Track equipment, materials, labor hours, and complete required daily paperwork.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment, including bucket trucks, as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of roadway construction or traffic control experience.
  • Prior foreman or leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow traffic control plans.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-risk environments.
  • MOT / TTC or WTS Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL required


Schedule & Availability Requirements:
This role requires schedule flexibility, including days, nights, weekends, overtime, and periodic travel to support project demands.
