Job description

Civil Project Manager – Land Development

Our client is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join their growing team. This position reports directly to the VP of Land Development and is based out of their Rochester Hills office (with three metro Detroit locations available).

Role Overview

This is a highly client-facing position focused on land development projects across Southeast Michigan. The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through construction, while collaborating closely with both internal design teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase support
  • Assist with permit applications and approvals
  • Evaluate land use and zoning requirements
  • Oversee design and drawing production for a variety of private, commercial, and K-12 projects
  • Lead project management activities including scheduling, coordination, and execution
  • Partner daily with internal design teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • PE license or ability to obtain within 6–12 months
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
