Overview

Our client, a leading precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace and industrial markets, is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Operator. The company specializes in producing high-precision machined components and assemblies. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with competitive pay and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure dimensions of machined parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and schematics to determine inspection requirements.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain CMM equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Perform inspections using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.
  • Document and report inspection results accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement or quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS software for CMM programming and operation.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret CAD models.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and part assemblies.
