NOW HIRING: Senior CNC Programmer III

 Location: Lincolnshire, IL

 Type: Full-Time/Direct-Hire | Machine Shop

Are you a master of G-code, MasterCAM, and precision machining? Ready to take your programming expertise to the next level with cutting-edge tools and complex 3D models? 

We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer III to elevate our machine shop operations!

You won't just be pushing buttons—you will be the technical brain behind our machining processes. From writing custom macros and running advanced simulations to troubleshooting high-precision components, you'll play a critical role in driving quality and process improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Program & Code: Write advanced programs for milling/turning machines using MasterCAM, long hand G-code, and custom Macro-B logic.

  • Simulate & Optimize: Use Vericut and simulation software to verify programs, edit post-processing parameters, and prevent crashes.

  • Design & Edit: Draw and modify engineering prints and 3D models using CAD/CAM software.

  • Troubleshoot & Improve: Use precision inspection tools, inspect process outputs, and leverage data (Excel VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, DOE) to optimize run times and quality.

 What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 5+ years as a CNC Machinist (with manual machining experience) + 3+ years as a CNC Programmer.

  • Software Mastery: Deep expertise in MasterCAM/SolidCAM, CAD/CAM modeling, and simulation tools.

  • Coding Skills: Fluent in G-code, M-code, Macro-B, and conversational programming.

  • Setup & Shop Floor Know-How: Proven ability to set up, troubleshoot, and fine-tune all types of CNC equipment.

  • Education: High school diploma/GED required; Technical diploma or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use inspection tools to troubleshoot any machining issues
  • Identify tooling/machines for all programming steps of a precision machined component
  • Write programs for milling/turning machines using MasterCAM
  • Write programs for milling/turning machines using long hand g-code if necessary.
  • Use simulation to verify programs and macros
  • Modify and edit parameters within simulation, CAM, and post processing software (ex. Vericut)
  • Read and write new macros for any application, including probe logic
  • Draw and modify prints/ 3-D models using CAD/CAM
  • Understand process output from charts and FMEA
  • Use Excel to develop reports, transform data, create graphs, use advanced features such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Assist with process improvement tools, such as DOE
  • Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and instructed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager
