Position Summary
PROENERGY is seeking skilled Welders to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will use MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding processes, along with flame-cutting equipment, to fabricate and assemble power-generation components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
This position is based in our 50,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility and offers opportunities on both first and third shift. We will train an individual with good work ethics and a positive attitude!

Work Location: 2001 ProEnergy Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301
This is a variable/temporary, on-site position located in Sedalia, Missouri. Eligible for per-diem.

Position Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedure
  • Position, align, and secure materials using fixtures, jigs, and clamps.
  • Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Interpret blueprints, layouts, work orders, and welding specifications
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Strong Work Ethic- Demonstrates reliability, consistency, and a commitment to producing high‑quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Positive Attitude - Maintains an optimistic, solution‑focused mindset that supports teamwork and a productive work environment.
  • Personal Accountability - Takes ownership of actions, meets commitments, and follows through on responsibilities with integrity.
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Candidate must also pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a weld qualification test in FCAW 2G (horizontal) and 3G (vertical-up) positions.
  • Knowledge of welding safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Proficiency using measuring and inspection tools, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, levels, and angle finders.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with Miller welding systems.
