JOB PURPOSE

Evaluate biological characteristics of Orthofix biologics including but not limited to:

• Composition of proprietary synthetic/tissue products
• Material characterization of biological materials

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

• Develop engineering scale prototypes
• Evaluate prototype performance (in vitro and/or in vivo)
• Presentation summarizing collective results and conclusions
• Project 2-3 months

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

Education/Certifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Enrollment in Bachelor's or Master's degree program
• Junior or Senior level standing, or graduate student
• 3.0 GPA

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

• Excellent organization and time management
• Experienced with documenting findings in a laboratory notebook
• Working withing a wet laboratory environment

The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

• In vitro analytical assay (i.e. ELISA)
• Wet lab techniques (i.e. cell culture)
• Microsoft Project

The anticipated base hourly rate foran employee who is located in Californiathis position is$22.00 to $26.00per hour. The finalpayoffered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.The Company is a multi-state employer and thispayscale may not reflect thepayscale for an employee who works in other states or locations.
