Procurement Analyst

Job Description

As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for developing subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services. You will prepare bid packages, conduct bidders' conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts. Additionally, you will negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts and participate with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Procure detail parts and assemblies from engineering drawings in a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and Systems, Applications, and Processes (SAP) system.
  • Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the organization's operation.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data to help determine feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives.
  • Compile information to stay informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
  • Confer with suppliers to analyze their operations and determine factors affecting prices to ensure the lowest cost while maintaining quality and reliability.
  • Review proposals, negotiate prices, recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.
  • Work with many internal and external departments and customers.
  • Prepare bid packages as needed.
  • Travel may be required.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in procurement and purchasing.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Experience in contract management and procurement analysis.
  • Strong skills in supplier performance and management.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
