Shift:  3rd Shift – Sunday – Thursday 11:30pm – 8:00am

Pay Rate: $20-36/hr, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
*****Must be able to train on 1st Shift for approx. 4 weeks - Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm*****
Must be willing to submit to a Nationwide Background Check and Pre-employment Drug test.
 
Job Summary:
An established Plastics Injection Molding manufacturer in Berea, OH is seeking a 1ST  Shift Mold Setter/Process Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Machine Set-Up and Operation, specifically in the plastics injection molding industry. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and quality of our injection molding operations, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Setup and Optimization: Set up and adjust injection molding machines, including calibrating, troubleshooting, and optimizing machine settings for production.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance on molding machines, identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure all equipment operates within specified parameters.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production quality, conduct regular inspections, and make adjustments to processes as needed to maintain product specifications and minimize defects.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production metrics, and maintenance activities. Report any deviations from standard processes or quality issues to management.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and address issues in the molding process, including diagnosing equipment malfunctions, material inconsistencies, and process deviations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams to improve processes, develop new methods, and ensure seamless production operations.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe and clean working environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Plastics Injection Molding Process Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines and related equipment. Strong understanding of molding process variables and their impact on product quality.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or vocational training in plastics technology or related fields is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • LicensureMust be certified as a forklift operator and maintain an active Driver’s License with the State of Ohio.
