Senior Quality Technician Lead
Location: Batavia, IL
Pay Range: $35-$40 per hour DOE
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Quality Technician Lead to spearhead our quality assurance efforts and ensure our products meet the highest standards. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership, making it ideal for professionals eager to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience to oversee testing, inspections, and quality evaluations of electrical and mechanical systems, components, and materials. You’ll collaborate across departments, provide mentorship to your team, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to elevate our quality processes. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing quality experience, with leadership or supervisory background preferred
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, measurement methods, and statistical techniques
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), with CMM programming knowledge a plus
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality auditing practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and training abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with root-cause analysis and Continuous System Improvement (CSI) tools
• Knowledge of calibration processes and non-conforming material management
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role in manufacturing quality

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or an associate degree preferred
• Extensive manufacturing quality background, ideally over 5 years, with leadership experience

Other Requirements:

• Ability to operate and verify calibration of test and measurement devices
• Availability to support internal and external quality audits
• Willingness to contribute to ongoing process improvements
