Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Westlake, Ohio. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience with CNC machine set-ups, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment to maximize production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines by loading programs, selecting tooling, and configuring machine parameters
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
  • Monitor machining operations and make tooling or program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain accurate production documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC Set-Up and machining experience
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience operating CNC machines and working with G-Code and CNC controls
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Computer proficiency and ability to maintain production records
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment, run multiple machines, and work independently
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
