Second Shift Machine Operators- Materials

Nesco Resource is looking for second shift machine operators-materials in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Pay: $22.40/hour ($20.00/hour base plus 12% differential) Overview: Seeking a skilled operator to execute key phases of precision tube and wire manufacturing, including tube/bar drawing, heat treating, precision cutting, and centerless grinding. This role supports production scheduling, process improvement, and equipment maintenance while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Key responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain tube/wire processing equipment for maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Operate multiple machines within an assigned work cell.
  • Perform and document in-process inspections using precision tools (pin gauges, laser micrometers, etc.).
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and inspect drawing dies and tooling.
  • Manage inventory of tools, fixtures, and consumables.
  • Collaborate with logistics and engineering teams to meet delivery, scrap, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and enforce line clearance procedures.
  • Maintain and track work orders in the ERP system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education preferred.
  • 25 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Windows applications (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills; Spanish language ability a plus but not required.
