Job description

Nurse Practitioner Pre-Anesthesia Clinic

Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect health and quality of care for patients under their care. The care can be provided in a primary, secondary, or tertiary care setting. Preoperative nurse practitioners (NPs) evaluate patients requiring anesthesia for procedures and surgery. Collaborates with providers over multiple disciplines in developing and implementing patient care plans while optimizing patients for their surgery or procedure. May function in clinical, administrative, research, and educational settings. Perioperative nurse practitioners evaluate patients requiring anesthesia for procedures and surgery and work jointly with anesthesia colleagues.

Education: BSN, MSN, Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioner.

Experience/Training: Minimum of five (5) years Critical Care and/or Peri-op Services preferred One (1) year Nurse Practitioner experience required.

Licenses/Certifications: Required: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

Skills: This individual should be patient-focused, detail-oriented and flexible. Candidate must be open to restructuring processes. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Able to project a positive self-image and be self-motivated. Excellent customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $158,951.00 - $242,408.00. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
