Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior BI Analyst / Power BI Lead | KD Pharma based in Netherlands.

Join a company-wide data transformation initiative focused on modernising BI, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across an international organisation.
As a Senior BI Analyst, you will help shape a scalable, consistent, and well-governed analytics environment with Power BI at its core.
You will combine hands-on development with business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and BI governance.
Your work will turn complex business requirements and datasets into meaningful dashboards, semantic models, KPIs, and actionable insights.
You will collaborate closely with data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders as a new data platform evolves.
The role offers the opportunity to influence how data is defined, managed, reported, and used across multiple business functions.
You will also help establish stronger BI standards, improve reporting quality, and guide the organisation toward more effective and trusted analytics.

Accountabilities
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and information requirements.
  • Translate business needs into BI solutions, reporting specifications, data requirements, and actionable technical deliverables.
  • Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and other analytical outputs.
  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to provide insights that support business decision-making.
  • Define, maintain, and standardise reporting metrics, KPIs, and business definitions.
  • Support data transformation and data-model design for reporting and analytics.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data-quality issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Ensure reports and analytical outputs are accurate, consistent, reliable, and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, application teams, and business users throughout the full BI delivery lifecycle.
  • Present analytical findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the continuous improvement of reporting processes, BI governance, standards, and best practices.
  • Prioritise BI requirements and contribute to the management of the reporting and analytics backlog.
  • Provide guidance and support to other BI or data analysts when appropriate.
  • Introduce a structured change-request gate and report-certification standard across the reporting estate.
  • Identify and retire redundant reports to improve the overall reporting landscape.
  • Operationalise existing report subscriptions and status-rule scorecards that have been prototyped but not yet rolled out.
Requirements
  • Strong professional experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, data analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced hands-on Power BI expertise, including DAX, Power Query, workspace and app administration, and semantic modelling.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational datasets.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, data transformations, BI architecture, and reporting best practices.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and translating them into technical or reporting specifications.
  • Hands-on experience developing dashboards, management reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to investigating complex data and business challenges.
  • Experience identifying, investigating, and resolving data-quality issues.
  • Ability to communicate complex data, insights, and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • English proficiency at B2-C1 level.
  • Experience leading or mentoring BI or data analysts is a plus.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the wider Microsoft data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, is a plus.
  • Experience working with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or Quality data is beneficial.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry is advantageous.
  • Experience contributing to data-governance or reporting-governance initiatives is a plus.
Benefits
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a company-wide Data Revolution initiative and help shape the future BI environment.
  • Significant ownership and influence over BI standards, reporting processes, governance, and analytics best practices.
  • Opportunity to work with modern Power BI, semantic modelling, SQL, and evolving enterprise data platforms.
  • Exposure to an international organisation operating across multiple business functions and markets.
  • Close collaboration with data engineering, application, and business teams throughout the BI delivery lifecycle.
  • Opportunity to influence how business stakeholders define and use KPIs, metrics, and data-driven insights.
  • Potential to guide and mentor other analysts while helping establish scalable BI practices.
  • Opportunity to work in a highly regulated environment where data accuracy, consistency, and governance are critical.
  • International and cross-functional exposure across areas such as Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality.
