About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to support data-driven decision-making across our healthcare organization. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining impactful Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and data models that provide actionable insights for operational, financial, and clinical stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines advanced expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling with a strong understanding of healthcare data, including revenue cycle, claims, and clinical datasets. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to define reporting requirements, optimize data processes, ensure data integrity, and deliver scalable analytics solutions that drive business performance and operational excellence. Candidates must be located in the Eastern or Central time zone.


What You'll Bring

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards to support operational and executive reporting needs
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models and visualizations
  • Partner with stakeholders across finance, operations, and clinical teams to define KPIs and reporting needs
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs
  • Support development of healthcare analytics including revenue cycle performance, payer mix, and operational metrics
  • Create and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and reporting processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and automate manual processes
  • Contribute to data governance and best practices around BI development

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in BI/reporting development
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including:
  • Dashboard development
  • Data modeling
  • Power BI Report Builder (paginated reports)
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, CTEs, performance optimization)
  • Experience working with healthcare data (e.g., EHR/EMR, claims, revenue cycle)
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Must sit in EST or CST Time zone

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EHR systems such as Epic Systems or Cerner
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, or similar)
  • Familiarity with DAX and performance tuning in Power BI
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed or high-growth healthcare organizations

Pay & Benefits


Pay Range:  $90,000 - $100,000 annual Salary

Actual compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, internal equity, and business needs.
