Position: Research Assistant (Temporary) —

Research Team Industry: Finance Location: New York, NY Salary: $30-40 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Languages: Business level English and Native level Japanese Work hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Work arrangement: Hybrid. New hires are required to attend the office daily for the initial few months for training. POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibility is to create English translated research reports that meet our standard using Microsoft Word, Excel, and distribute them through our internal systems. The work is carried out almost around the clock through close collaboration among the Tokyo headquarters team, the London team, and the New York team, so quick response and strong teamwork are essential. Regulatory Compliance: Adapting all publications to meet relevant regulations, maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Quality Assurance: Upholding internal requirements for quality and style, ensuring that all published material aligns with the firms standards. Technology Utilization: Leveraging DTP software and digital platforms efficiently to facilitate the publication and distribution of research products. SKILLS and KEY QUALIFICATIONS Technical proficiency Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), including editorial and style features. Ability to manage high volumes of communication using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

Quick to learn and adapt to new data systems and platforms; capable of diagnosing and resolving technical issues. Attention to detail Demonstrates strong commitment to data accuracy and adherence to the company's established stylistic standards. Ability to understand and follow internal and external guidelines and external regulations regarding research products. Language and communication Consistently delivers timely, clear, and professional communication.

Excellent written and verbal proficiency in both Japanese and English, with strong skills in translation, editing, proofreading. Ability to communicate complex information accurately to stakeholders across functions. Experience working in Japan or working for a Japanese company overseas, and familiarity with technical terms in the fields of finance and accounting are preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES This role combines technical skill, linguistic precision, and collaborative teamwork to produce polished research content for institutional investors in a fastpaced global setting.

Document management Prepare English layouts for reports, accurately formatting complex tables and graphs. Review translated materials for consistency and accuracy, and adherence to guidelines. Communication and coordination Maintain clear communication with global teams to ensure publication align with market activity and deadlines. Coordinate with translators, analysts, and other team members to deliver materials on schedule.

Publication production Produce and distribute stock reports, daily highlights, newsletters, and other research outputs in both English and Japanese using firm systems and templates. Process outsourced workflow orders and manages administrative tasks related to research production.
