Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Design Technician for a hybrid contract opportunity supporting complex building and industrial facility projects in Cincinnati, OH. This role is ideal for a senior plumbing design professional who is confident developing detailed plumbing systems, coordinating across engineering disciplines, and supporting projects from design through construction.
This opportunity offers a collaborative engineering environment where technical expertise, problem-solving, and clear communication are valued. The Plumbing Design Technician will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and construction teams while contributing to high-quality design solutions for sophisticated facilities. Candidates who enjoy a mix of independent design work, multidisciplinary coordination, and practical construction support will be well aligned with this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed plumbing designs for construction, including domestic hot and cold water, waste and vent, and stormwater systems.
- Create and maintain plumbing models and design documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate plumbing designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in design coordination, clash detection, clash resolution, and constructability support.
- Review and respond to RFIs and shop drawings while providing design support during construction.
- Conduct occasional project site visits to document existing plumbing conditions and support construction-related activities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $38 to $43 per hour.
- Job type: Contract.
- Duration: 6 months.
- Location: Cincinnati, OH 45241.
- Work style: Hybrid, 2 days on-site and 3 days remote.
