    Job description

    Position Overview
    This shift will run Friday-Sunday from 6:00am-6:30pm.
    Must be able to train during the week.
    Position Details
    Work Environment:
    At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based onsite at our Adairsville facility near Atlanta, GA.
    What You'll Do:
    • Provide repair and preventative maintenance services for the following but not limited to: Sorter, cameras, hardware, auto baggers, Conveyor systems, balers, and associated controls
    • Facility related maintenance activities including, but not limited to general lighting, facility inspections and audits, air compressor systems, and emergency or temporary overhead door repairs.
    • Repairs to carts, stands, lifts and material handling equipment used in the daily sorting and transporting of products within the facility. This does not include major repairs or preventative maintenance to powered forklifts.
    • Assist with controls support and troubleshooting. Identify Electrical issues. (Replace standard components - Ex: Photo eyes, MDR's, Proxes, Encoders, plc's, emergency stops, conveyor belts)
    • Complete preventive maintenance schedule
    • Maintain spare parts list and inventory
    • Maintain material handling system on site once system is installed
    • Assist in controls debug
    • Timely completion of all reports and logs to include time reports and travel expenses
    • Maintain consistent positive and enthusiastic attitude
    • Timely communication of all concerns and issues with the Facilities Manager
    • Pursue professional training and certifications
    • Able to mentor other maintenance staff.
    • Motivate and inspire the Duluth and subcontractor team. Help our subcontractors to be successful and hold them to our standards
    • Deliver projects on time, under budget, and with high quality
    • Improve the process with written templates, spreadsheet tools, outstanding lessons learned, etc.
    • Any and all job duties as assigned.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Skilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting and repair.
    • Energetic, ambitious, and hard working
    • Maintain a Positive, can-do attitude
    • Computer literate, experience with MS Office products
    • Previous, electrical, conveying, automation, and distribution center experience desired
    • A solid understanding of application of contemporary industrial control systems a plus
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Extremely well organized and great foresight and planning abilities
    • Experience in high-speed distribution centers a plus
    • Demonstrated skills in customer service.
    • Material Handling, or Packaging background required.
    • HIgh school diploma plus 3 years work experience
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

    Environmental Factors:
    • Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
    • Frequently lifting up to thirty pounds, occasionally lifting up to seventy pounds.
    • Frequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directions.
    • Ability to perform work in tight quarter workstations.
    • Moderate warehouse noise level.
    • Push/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred pounds.
    • Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movement (i.e.: folding garments).
    • Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 95 degrees.
    • The ability to walk long distances
    • The ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the day
    • The ability to either stand for long periods of time
    • The ability to remain in a stationary position, often sanding for prolonged periods of times
    • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to another
    • Adjusting or moving objects over 20 lbs. in all directions

    Compensation Range: $31-33/hour.
