Job Description
Placement: Direct Hire, Non-Temp
Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000 (DOE)
Industry: Automotive Manufacturing
Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location:Lafayette, Indiana
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work with the controller with month end closing, mid month forecasting and reporting.
Maintain and monitor current cost, standard cost and estimated actual costs in SAP.
Develop and upload annual standard cost for material, freight, labor and overhead to SAP.
Responsible for the sales and cost of sales analysis by product family on actual month end, mid month, operating plan and strategic plan.
Responsible for accounting aspects of the physical inventory and cycle counting process which are led by materials.
Work with other functions to complete cost studies and business cases.
Support all departments in continuous improvement modeling for purchase savings, labor reduction and flexing of capital resources.
Work with IT and the Controller to maintain the SAP closing cycle in order to allocate the costs properly.


Qualifications
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VERIFICATION:
Bachelor Degree
SAP Experience
5 Years Plant Experience Preferred
5 Years Current Cost Accounting
Experience with Hyperion preferred
