Job Title: Pipefitter Foreman
Job Description

This role oversees commercial pipefitting and welding activities for new construction and renovation projects across multiple sites in the Tampa and Palmetto areas. The pipefitter foreman plans, coordinates, and executes the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of piping systems, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and schedule expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the installation and repair of piping systems, including cutting, threading, and bending pipe to precise specifications.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair various types of commercial pipe systems in new construction and renovation environments.
  • Install and secure hangers, brackets, and supports to ensure piping systems are properly mounted and aligned.
  • Install valves, couplings, and other fittings to complete piping assemblies according to drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret and work from construction drawings and blueprints to determine pipe routing, dimensions, and materials.
  • Perform soldering and brazing on carbon steel and copper piping systems in accordance with project and code requirements.
  • Weld schedule 40 steel pipe ranging from 2.5 inches to 8 inches, maintaining high-quality weld standards.
  • Lead and guide on-site pipefitting activities to support safe, efficient, and timely completion of work.
  • Inspect completed work to verify proper installation, alignment, and functionality of piping systems.
  • Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate work and minimize disruptions to project schedules.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience performing pipefitting and related tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering and brazing carbon steel and copper piping systems.

Typical hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (four 10-hour shifts), with additional work available on Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The environment is a busy commercial construction setting that requires appropriate work attire, safety gear, and adherence to site safety protocols while working with pipefitting and welding tools and equipment.
