Physician Assistant Studies - Part-time, Fixed Term Faculty

Primary Purpose of Position - The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is currently recruiting part-time, fixed term teaching faculty (.74FTE or less) for one or more semesters at the title(s) of Teaching Instructor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor, Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor to teach and support of the PA Program curriculum to serve primary duties and responsibilities such as: Participate as a lecturer/small group facilitator /course director throughout the curriculum, teaching in areas of expertise and program need. Participate as an instructor/proctor for clinical assessment activities in the didactic phases. Participate in student activities of the didactic and clinical phases. Participate in the grading of student assignments and evaluation of student academic and professional development. Participate in student remediation planning and execution. Actively participate in ongoing program self-assessment and accreditation activities. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director. As a member of the faculty of the PA Program, the Faculty Associate will: Serve as an advisor to students. Serve as a role model for PA Program students, staff, and faculty. Represent the PA Program within the ECU community. Support other PA faculty teaching in the curriculum. Contingent upon the availability of funds.

Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience - Master's or Doctoral degree in PA or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in teaching and/or professional practice. Clinical Faculty – NC Physician Assistant license required

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation - Current NCCPA certification
