Job description

Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced, pharmacy fulfillment center. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing prescriptions, managing inventory through automated systems, and preparing medications for shipment while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a high-volume environment and is passionate about supporting patient care through accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.

Hours

  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM

  • Saturdays - 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill prescription orders in accordance with pharmacy regulations and company standards.

  • Utilize pharmacy systems and technology to locate, verify, and process prescription orders.

  • Stock automated dispensing equipment with the correct medications, strengths, and quantities.

  • Perform prescription counts and basic calculations to ensure accuracy.

  • Scan and track inventory using barcode technology while maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Identify and report prescription, inventory, or equipment issues to the appropriate team members.

  • Prepare prescriptions and packages for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and accuracy.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy procedures to protect patient information and ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and service expectations.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.

  • Pharmacy Technician certification or completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program.

  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience, preferably in a retail, fulfillment, warehouse, or mail-order pharmacy setting.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to maintain consistent attendance.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate pharmacy systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to prescription counts and inventory.

  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance standards.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a high-volume fulfillment or warehouse pharmacy environment.

  • Experience with automated dispensing systems and inventory management tools
