Patient Services Representative

Location: 8080 State Hwy 121, Suite 300, McKinney, TX 75070
Schedule: 7:50 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Employment Type: Non-IT Contractor (Onshore) — Contract-to-Hire
Contract Period: 08/30/2026 to 10/30/2026

Position Overview

Our clinic is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join a team of 8 PSRs who serve as the first point of contact for patients, primarily managing incoming phone calls along with front-desk and administrative support duties. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, professional, and welcoming patient experience from the moment they contact or enter the office.

This is a contract-to-hire position, with an initial contract period from 08/30/2026 to 10/30/2026, with potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and route or resolve patient inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive front-desk experience
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in the EMR system (eClinical)
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Verify insurance information and collect necessary patient documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized lobby/waiting area (shared rotation among the full team)
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with patients, providers, and staff
  • Support general administrative and office tasks as needed

Ideal Candidate Background

  • Prior healthcare or medical office experience preferred
  • Ability to learn EMR systems (eClinical) quickly
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of solid customer service experience

Preferred Skills/Attributes

  • Bilingual in Spanish (at least 1 of 2 selected candidates must be bilingual in Spanish)
  • Polished, professional appearance and presentation
