Job description

REGISTERED POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIST (RPSGT) – NIGHT SHIFT

We are seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to perform and score sleep studies and provide high-quality care to adult patients.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform customer intake and admission procedures.
  • Review sleep study procedures and answer customer questions.
  • Distribute and collect questionnaires and assessments.
  • Perform PAP trials and mask fittings.
  • Set up and perform polysomnographic studies.
  • Ensure high-quality, artifact-free recordings.
  • Monitor, stage, and score events during sleep studies.
  • Score completed studies for physician review and interpretation.
  • Provide appropriate information during shift changes and customer discharge.
  • Set up, download, and complete reports for Wrist Oximetry and Actigraphy studies.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment as needed.
  • Manage triage phone calls, faxes, and emails.
  • Assist with training and mentoring Polysomnographic Technologist trainees.
  • Provide education and support to customers and family members as appropriate.
  • Complete other duties as needed to support departmental operations.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 1 year of Polysomnography experience required.
  • Previous travel experience required.
  • Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
  • Adult patient population experience required.
  • Epic EMR experience required.
  • Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC required.
