Job description


A manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for checking parts for quality and packaging of parts in the stationary assembly area. Work hours are first shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with occasional overtime.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Check first and last piece, as well as, frequency checks during production
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections
  • Become familiar with quality requirements of all components in stationary assembly area and understand the concepts of ISO quality systems
  • Inspect and set specialty switches
  • Label all packaging for stationary production machines
  • Pack and inspect parts in stationary assembly department
  • Notify operators, set up person, and or management when quality issues arise
  • Update production schedule upon job completion
  • Provide assistance if necessary in other aspects of stationary assembly or offline inspection

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess solid mechanical aptitude and understanding
  • Experience with ISO quality systems preferred
  • Must be able to follow written work instructions including blueprint specifications
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills to convey information effectively between assembly co-workers and managers
  • Must have good eye hand coordination and the ability to lift and carry up to approximately 60 pounds
  • Must be able to read and interpret rules, instructions, and procedures, as well as writing routines reports and speaking effectively before groups
  • Must have basic math skills and the ability to apply common sense understanding
