PAY: $16–$23+/HR

Starting pay is based on:

• Previous healthcare experience
• Patient-care experience
• Certifications/credentials
• Ophthalmology or retina experience
• Medical knowledge and skill level

Exceptional candidates may qualify for higher starting pay.

‍⚕️ WHO WE REALLY WANT

The ideal candidate has hands-on healthcare experience AND regular interaction with patients.

You do not need to have ophthalmology experience to be considered.

We would especially like to speak with candidates who have experience as:

✅ Medical Assistants
✅ Ophthalmic or Retina Assistants
✅ LPNs
✅ STNAs
✅ Surgical Technologists
✅ Phlebotomists
✅ Optometry Assistants
✅ Other healthcare professionals with direct patient interaction

Ophthalmology or retina experience is a HUGE PLUS, but it is not required.

What matters most is that you:

✔ Have experience working directly with patients
✔ Are comfortable in a medical environment
✔ Enjoy helping and interacting with people
✔ Can learn new medical procedures and technology
✔ Are dependable and professional
✔ Want to develop a long-term career in ophthalmology

Candidates with 3+ years of hands-on, patient-facing healthcare experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

️ WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you'll work directly with patients and alongside experienced ophthalmologists and medical professionals.

Responsibilities may include:

• Performing patient workups and obtaining medical histories
• Conducting vision testing
• Performing diagnostic testing and imaging
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Assisting physicians during patient examinations
• Scribing physician visits
• Preparing examination rooms and equipment
• Assisting with injections and minor procedures
• Educating patients regarding their care
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Providing a professional and compassionate patient experience

You will receive training in ophthalmology, making this a great opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional looking to expand into a specialized field.
