You've built specialized cornea skills-now step into a high-volume ophthalmology practice where your clinic and surgical work are fully supported. This Cornea opportunity is designed for physicians who want autonomy, strong infrastructure, and a clear path to partnership. If you're looking for a long-term home in Austin with a steady referral base and optional research upside, let's talk.


Practice Overview


  • You'll join a large ophthalmology group with ~15 MDs and practice-only call (no hospital call)
  • Cornea focus with strong need in cornea pathology and dry eye; refractive/LASIK available but not required
  • Centralized surgical counseling/scheduling/testing supports efficient flow and strong premium IOL conversion
  • Optional in-house research track with supplemental pay per visit (admin handled for you)

Schedule


  • Standard full-time clinic schedule: 4.5-5 days/week, weekdays (typical 8:00a-5:00p)
  • Expected clinic volume around 25-45 patients/day with ramp-up support
  • Practice call only, shared rotation; triaged service keeps call light

Compensation & Benefits


  • 350K base plus productivity incentives
  • Tiered collections model up to ~35% for high producers
  • Established cornea physicians earning around 500K with collections trending upward
  • Time off: 20 PTO days + 5 CME days (25 total), increasing to 30 total days at partnership

Candidate Requirements


  • Cornea fellowship-trained ophthalmologist
  • Open to new fellows and experienced physicians
  • Comfort managing all cornea pathology and dry eye
  • Team-first mindset and interest in a long-term practice home with partnership potential
  • Fluent in Vietnamese or Spanish preferred
