As a Temporary Clinical Research Coordinator, you will provide hands-on operational support across WHOOP's portfolio of clinical research studies. You will support assigned studies at various stages of the clinical lifecycle, including startup, participant recruitment and enrollment, active study conduct, data collection, and closeout.
You will coordinate day-to-day study activities, support participants and research sites, maintain study documentation and tracking tools, and help ensure that study procedures are completed accurately and on time. You may support one or more studies based on program timelines and business needs.
This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented coordinator who can manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly with participants and study teams, and follow established protocols and processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using clinical research systems to support high-quality study execution.
This is a 6 month, temporary position with an hourly pay rate of $34/hr.
Responsibilities:
  • Support study startup activities, including development and maintenance of study workflows, checklists, logs, trackers, training materials, and participant-facing documents.
  • Assist with the configuration, testing, and operational readiness of study systems, including electronic data capture, participant management, scheduling, and compensation platforms.
  • Support participant recruitment, prescreening, scheduling, informed consent coordination, enrollment, and study visit preparation in accordance with approved study procedures.
  • Review study documentation for completeness and follow up on missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information.
  • Support the resolution of data queries, documentation discrepancies, and outstanding study action items.
  • Maintain participant enrollment logs, screening logs, visit trackers, delegation logs, training logs, device accountability records, compensation trackers, and other study documentation.
  • Assist with study team and site training by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, tracking attendance, and documenting completion.
  • Identify and promptly escalate participant concerns, protocol deviations, safety information, data quality concerns, and operational risks to the appropriate study team member.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Clinical Science, Clinical Research Associates, Data Management, Regulatory, Quality, investigators, research sites, vendors, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Support the collection, filing, and quality review of study documents within the Trial Master File or other study repositories.
  • Assist with study closeout activities, including participant follow-up, document reconciliation, device and supply reconciliation, outstanding data resolution, and archive preparation.
  • Contribute feedback and lessons learned to help improve study workflows and Clinical Operations processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, psychology, nursing, clinical research, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting clinical research, healthcare research, academic research, or human-subject studies.
  • At least 1 year of experience performing clinical research coordination, participant-facing research, or similar study operations responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable human-subject research requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple participants, assignments, and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, complete, and timely documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with research participants.
Desired:
  • Experience supporting medical-device, digital-health, wearable-technology, or remote-monitoring studies.
  • Experience working directly with research participants in decentralized, virtual, hybrid, or site-based studies.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated clinical research or ISO 14155.
  • Experience supporting studies related to cardiovascular health, women's health, sleep, metabolic health, or digital biomarkers.
  • Experience working in a sponsor, CRO, academic research center, hospital, or clinical research site.
