65 hours over a 12โweek development period). Course Overview AI is transforming the way UX designers ideate, research, and build digital experiences. This threeโcredit asynchronous online course will equip students with the core skills to collaborate with AI as both a creative and analytical partner, producing portfolioโready work for the AIโenabled future of design.
Students will explore how to leverage AI to accelerate UX research and design through strategic prompt engineering, AI agents, Vibe coding tools, and will gain proficiency in designing and evaluating AIโenabled applications while addressing issues of trust, transparency, and user control. Responsibilities Develop asynchronous, instructorโfacilitated online course content aligned with Brandeis Online Course Standards. Create a Brandeisโcompliant syllabus, instructorโcreated materials informed by current industry knowledge, learning objects, and applied assignments and assessments aligned to course and program outcomes.
Collaborate with Brandeis Online staff, adhere to technical requirements for LMS integration, and meet project milestones. Submit course drafts at designated intervals for feedback; obtain final approval through a comprehensive design review by a Learning Designer and Brandeis Online. Uphold Brandeis's academic standards and online course development guidelines throughout the design process.
Qualifications Master's degree in Human Factors, HCI, User Experience, or related discipline. 5+ years professional experience in UX or related disciplines. Applied experience designing AI agents and/or AIโenabled software.
Applied knowledge of AI design and prototyping tools, including Figma Make. Applied knowledge of generative AI tools for user experience research. Basic Vibe coding proficiency.
At least one year of teaching or training experience (preferably online/asynchronous). Minimum one year experience developing asynchronous online courses for adult learners in higher education. Proficiency with LMS platforms and digital authoring tools.
Familiarity with analytical tools, collaborative platforms, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills. Familiarity with curriculum design, accreditation standards, and graduateโlevel rigor.
Ability to translate interdisciplinary content into engaging, learnerโcentered pathways. Strong writing and editing skills. Preferred Experience Teaching or developing graduateโlevel online courses.
Knowledge of global learner personas and culturally responsive pedagogy. Familiarity with Moodle LMS and digital authoring tools such as H5P. Experience with experiential learning models and employerโaligned curriculum.
Additional Details Fully remote position (U.S.-based applicants only; no visa sponsorship). The development timeline is 12 weeks, requiring ~65 hours. Pay: $3,000.
