About You
About the Position
As a member of NHLBI’s Space + Design Branch (SDB), the building manager is responsible for all tenant spaces within building 50, a biomedical research laboratory building on the NIH’s Bethesda campus. Building 50, constructed in 2001, houses seven institutes across ~200,000 square feet of tenant space and is supported by ~240,000 of interstitial and facility MEP spaces. The building manager serves as the primary point of contact for all tenant occupied spaces. The building 50 manager documents repairs, improvements, and deficiencies and collaborates across occupants and the Office of Research Facilities (building owner) to optimize building operations.
You will work closely with scientific and administrative occupants, facilities maintenance teams, external building-trade contractors, and various service providers to lead holistic building management solutions. Project types range from building wide systems upgrades to common space furniture, fixtures and equipment enhancements. We need someone who builds strong communities, seeks information resourcefully, and communicates to all stakeholders clearly. Core duties include:
