Job Description: GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBERThe Grounds and Maintenance Team Member Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or GM.GENERAL SUMMARYThe Grounds and Maintenance Team Member is entrusted with providing overall guest satisfaction, camp hospitality, and maintaining all outdoor and common areas. He or she assists guests in every manner necessary to create a welcoming and exemplary guest experience. They are also responsible for the general appearance of the resort. The Grounds and Maintenance Team Member will assist in a variety of common and skilled tasks as assigned in the operation of resort buildings and grounds. They use excellent customer service skills and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and guests of the resort. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESDuties include, but are not limited to: Makes a morning and close of day trash run through the park to collect guest trash and take it to the dumpster for disposalClean around dumpster and ensure any debris is picked up and lids are closedTend to the dumpster after trash is dumped to pick up any debris left by trash companyCheck and empty all common area trash cans and replace linersClean and balance pool and do testing three times each dayRecord pool chemical readings on approved pool sheetsClean pool area furniture and arrange it each morning before pool openingClean patio and power wash if neededTend to garden areas and pick or spray weeds as neededTrim any shrubs or bushes that have overgrown or are impeding traffic flowAnswer propane radio calls and pump propane (Only after completing training with the approved Propane Trainer on Site)Serves as the principal liaison between management as guests approach them with questionsProvides outstanding customer service to guests during requests for assistance.Escort guests to site and assist in directing them into their site (Do NOT DRIVE RIG)Informs and guides guests to resort amenities and help them feel welcomed. Assist with the enforcement of policies, regulations, and safety and health standards within the resort and make certain guests are made aware of any violations. Ability to handle temporary or emergency repairs and shall be maintenance contactAssists in duties left unattended when other resort staff has days off.Responsible for resort security and coordinates with all other departments regarding vehicle operations (including bicycles etc) parking, outside guests, and pets. He/she must perform both quality and cost controls and monitor expenditures in their assigned area to ensure sound fiscal control and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time. JOB REQUIREMENTSRelated Skills: Must be able to read and speak English. Must be able to read and speak English.Thorough knowledge of park operations.Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain an active auto insurance policy.Ability to be on-call and available.Must be able to work flexible shifts of morning and evenings along with weekends and holidays.Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.High energy level and stamina and the ability to exhibit attention to details is required.Perform other related duties as required.Demonstrate good personal control and judgment under normal and stressful conditions.
