American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Home Health for a travel nursing job in Lorain, Ohio.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with recent OASIS and HCHB experience for a geriatric caseload requiring an OH or compact RN license.

Details
  • Adult Home Health setting serving a geriatric patient population
  • Caseload averages 5-7 patients per day (to be confirmed during interview)
  • Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
  • On-call rotation required, supported by a triage team that only dispatches for true visit needs
  • Weekend requirement limited to on-call coverage
  • Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
  • Travelers must remain flexible with territory assignments
  • Uses HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR
Requirements
  • Active OH or compact RN license required, in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant Home Health RN experience required
  • OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care (SOC) assessments
  • Proficiency in HCHB charting system required
  • Active driver's license and personal transportation required
  • No first-time travelers accepted for this role
  • Skills should include wound care, medication administration/management, pain assessment, IM/IV/subcutaneous administration, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance, and infection control precautions
  • Experience with documentation types including admission assessment, discharge, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive home health nursing care including wound care, medication management, pain assessment, and infusion therapy for geriatric patients
  • Timely documentation and communication are mandatory expectations for this role
  • Scrub attire required in any color; jeans are not permitted
  • Cell phone use is not provided, but an iPad is supplied for work purposes
  • Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
  • Travel pairs are accepted, though each traveler will be assigned to their own territory and must have independent transportation
  • Former permanent employees must be separated for a minimum of 6 months and receive HR approval before returning as a traveler
  • Orientation begins on Mondays and includes completion of required training modules
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
