Job description

The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility software team develops the autonomy software that powers Proteus, Amazon's first fully autonomous warehouse robot. We are growing and are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our Platform, Data and Tools team.
You will be part of an exceptional group of engineers building the platform and architecture for our onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control software. In addition, you will collaborate with engineers and scientists across the team to develop and enhance our ML training and deployment pipelines


Key job responsibilities
Specific areas of focus may include (but are not limited too):
- Optimizing runtime performance of core algorithms by exploiting underlying hardware acceleration capabilities
- Integrating new sensors and hardware components into the autonomy software stack
- Developing and customizing our Nvidia Jetpack based platform and OS.
- Building data pipelines and tools to enable our ML-development flywheel
- Developing software to enable remote diagnostics, recovery and control of autonomous robots
- Building visualization tools for analyzing and debugging robot behavior
- Designing and developing software interfaces to enable hardware testing and manufacturing processes.
