Job description

Cape Fox Concentric Methods, LLC is accepting resumes for a Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist. The physicist will provide radiation therapy physics and other support services as required by the Department of Radiology at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord.Clinical experience with total body photon irradiation (TBI), total skin electron irradiation (TSE); low dose rate (LDR) and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy modalities, intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and real-time position management (RPM). The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $215,000

to $226,720. This salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match.

This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn. Responsibilities: Clinical experience with acceptance testing and commissioning of a dual-photon and multiple-electron energy linear accelerator with multi-leaf collimator (MLC) and electronic portal imaging device (EPID) capable of both IGRT and IMRT. Shall have clinical experience with acceptance testing and commissioning of a three-dimensional (3D) treatment planning system (TPS) capable of producing IGRT, IMRT, and brachytherapy plans.

Shall have experience with routine quality assurance / performance testing equipment (ion chambers, diodes, film, TLD, etc.) and techniques necessary to verify the accuracy and reproducibility of contemporary 3D, IGRT, IMRT, and brachytherapy-based treatments and equipment, to include daily, monthly, and annual testing in accordance with current American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) recommendations. Shall have experience with Varian Aria, Eclipse, Pinnacle, Ray Station, and Varian Variseed treatment planning systems. Required to provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, medical testing, and physical examination when required

Currently proficient in clinical radiation therapy physics technology and other support services, demonstrated by active practice of at least 12 months within the last two years. Board eligible or board certified in diagnostic medical physics or nuclear medical physics or therapeutic medical physics from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) of medical health physics from the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP). Current professional medical physicist license in one of the fifty states, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the Virgin Islands. Maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted license to practice medical physics.

Basic Life Support Certification required. Shall posse five years of recent clinical therapeutic radiological physics experience within the last 6 years prior to contract execution. Shall be currently proficient in clinical radiation therapy physics technology and other support services, demonstrated by active practice of at least 12 months within the last two years.

Shall have clinical experience with total body photon Must be a US Citizen. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.Possess a graduate degree in Physics, Medical Physics, or related field from a university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc, (CAMPEP). Board eligible or board certified in diagnostic medical physics or nuclear medical physics or therapeutic medical physics from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) of medical health physics from the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP)
