Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and self-driven engineer to manage and expedite NG material swaps for the testing and repair team, as well as oversee the verification and repair of faulty PCBA/HV commodities. This role requires awareness of key commodities in demand and issues affecting models to maintain relevant buffer stock and select appropriate material dispositions. The engineer will ensure aging and inventory costs remain within established limits. The ideal candidate is resilient, skilled in manufacturing processes, and able to plan proactively using data-driven insights.


Key Responsibilities:

Engineering related:

·       Define and validate the necessary facilities and PPE for proper process execution.

·       Ensure facilities comply with all required safety and ESD standards.

·       Implement process changes to meet evolving company needs.

·       Improve processes in response to emergent situations or special requests.

·       Develop and enhance computer systems to meet business requirements.

·       Apply continuous improvement principles.

·       Incorporate best practices shared by team members to improve processes and performance.

·       Manage materials for repair by commodity or component.

·       Prepare reports for engineering, management, and MRB, including details for scrap approval or RMA requests (e.g., failure symptoms or logs).

·       Generate cost and scrap reports for internal damages and escalate abnormal situations.

·       Escalate issues with significant economic impact.

Order management Related:

·       Control inventory and maintain costs within established limits; escalate when necessary.

·       Manage inventory adjustments for alternative part numbers due to material swaps for repair.

·       Prevent inventory aging by applying FIFO and prioritizing repair, RMA, or scrap.

·       Resolve discrepancies promptly.

·       Segregate materials into categories: repair, waiting for parts, pending validation, damaged, repaired, and scrap.

·       Expedite material analysis and recovery.

·       Review and correct internal reports generated by junior engineers.

·       Generate KPI reports.

·       Make informed decisions and set priorities effectively.

·       Identify and develop new talent within the team.

Candidate Requirements:

·       Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel).

·       Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

·       Minimum 1–3 years of experience in warehouse management or manufacturing.

·       Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

·       Basic understanding of databases and data structures.

·       Expertise in inventory processes and material flow.

·       Skilled in handling and storing electronic materials.

 

Nice-to-Haves:

·       Experience in electronics or server manufacturing environments.

·       Bilingual (English/Spanish).

·       Lean Manufacturing experience

·       May require working flexible shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays

·       Warehouse environment – can be noisy, fast-paced, and may require PPE

·       Standing, walking, and lifting throughout shift
