Job description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and LiveNation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
Proof of the Pudding, operator of COTA Concessions, is looking for team members that will be responsible for various concessions operations at COTA's many events. Concessions Workers include job duties of cashiering, food running, and food preparation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to work with new team members week-to-week to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Greet and service guests at the register, taking orders, and accepting payment (debit card, credit card)
  • Ability to perform multiple roles of a concession stand such as cashier, runner, plating food, cleaning, counting inventory, restocking, and customer service.
  • Prepare food while following standard health and safety procedures.
  • Willing to receive formal or on-the-job training and coaching to improve.
  • Check identification for age-restricted items, such as alcoholic beverages.
  • Replenish food at serving stations as needed.
  • Scrub and polish counters, tables, and other equipment
  • Clean dishes and fountain equipment
  • Inventory control: Assess inventory and assist in preparing product orders as necessary.
  • Stock and restock items as necessary.
  • Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations.

Performs other related duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Must be a phenomenal team player.
  • Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding Team.
  • ServSafe Certified preferred.

Specialized Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail to ensure all ordered items are correct and following company policies, including health guidelines.
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Punctual and consistent work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills with both team members and guests.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position will work out of and report to Circuit of the Americas. Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position may work with kitchen equipment including food warmers, heat lamps, coolers, and more.
Uniform Requirements
Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the stadium
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
