The Division of Musculoskeletal Radiology at UHealth, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a part-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track. The division is currently staffed by 4 MSK radiologists who work across the University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital in close collaboration with colleagues in Orthopedics and other departments in a multi-disciplinary environment. The division interprets all adult musculoskeletal modalities including radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and ultrasound, and performs multimodality image-guided interventions. The division is actively engaged in research covering a broad range of interests from sports medicine to oncology, and trains two MSK fellows per year.
Job Functions
  • Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Interpret musculoskeletal imaging studies and perform musculoskeletal procedures.
  • Supervise performance of technical personnel.
  • Be part of the on-call radiology schedule.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of general radiology and musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Provide musculoskeletal imaging consultation as requested.
  • Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of a radiology practice.
  • Staff off-site outpatient-imaging sites as requested by division director or Chair.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of musculoskeletal radiology.
  • Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology as required in:
  • Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine residency training programs
  • Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship Program
  • Medical student education program
  • Technological radiology educational programs
  • Continuing medical education programs
  • Participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research activities.
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Medical Degree
  • Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship
Certification and Licensing:
  • American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible
  • Florida Medical License or License Eligible
Experience:
  • Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
  • The incumbent should be comfortable performing routine image guided interventions.
