Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time, ongoing locum tenens opportunity in south-central Missouri, primarily supporting practices in Rolla and Lebanon.

This is specifically a full-time need for a CRNA who wants meaningful, consistent work rather than occasional PRN shifts. The assignment combines two distinct anesthesia environments: a weekday outpatient surgical practice in Rolla and a broader hospital-based practice in Lebanon with general surgery, OB, endoscopy, ophthalmology and call coverage.

The client anticipates an ongoing need while permanent recruitment continues.

Two Practice Environments

This assignment offers considerably more variety than a single-site locums position.

Rolla

Rolla is an outpatient surgery center with scheduled cases Monday through Friday and no routine call requirement at this location.

The current surgical schedule includes:

• General Surgery
• Podiatry
• ENT
• Outpatient procedures
• General anesthesia
• MAC
• Regional anesthesia as applicable

Current physician scheduling includes general surgery multiple days each week, podiatry on Fridays and ENT cases on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.

Lebanon

Lebanon provides the broader hospital-based anesthesia practice and is the location where call coverage occurs.

The weekday surgical mix currently includes:

• General Surgery
• OB/GYN
• Endoscopy
• Ophthalmology / Cataracts
• Add-on cases

The facility maintains 24/7 call coverage for General Surgery and OB, creating a different clinical environment from the scheduled outpatient practice in Rolla.

Typical Weekly Case Flow

The Lebanon schedule currently includes:

• Monday: General Surgery OR + General Surgery Endoscopy
• Tuesday: OB OR + General Surgery OR
• Wednesday: Two Endoscopy rooms
• Thursday: Two Cataract rooms + one Endoscopy room
• Friday: General Surgery
• Add-on cases as clinically required

Schedules and case assignments may vary based on operational needs.

Schedule & Call

Regular scheduled hours are typically:

Monday–Friday
6:30 AM–3:00 PM

The client is specifically seeking a provider with full-time weekday availability.

Call is primarily associated with the Lebanon hospital and is expected approximately:

• One weekday call shift per week
• One weekend call rotation per month

Weekday call generally begins after scheduled cases conclude, typically between 3:00–5:00 PM, and continues until 7:00 AM the following morning.

Weekend call generally begins following scheduled Friday cases and may extend through 7:00 AM Monday, including 24-hour Saturday and Sunday call periods.

Rolla itself does not have a routine call requirement.

Clinical Scope

CRNAs should be comfortable with a broad anesthesia practice that may include:

• General anesthesia
• Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
• General Surgery
• OB/GYN anesthesia
• Endoscopy
• ENT
• Podiatry
• Ophthalmology / Cataract procedures
• Regional nerve blocks — preferred
• Epidurals — preferred
• Central lines — preferred

No cardiac anesthesia.
No neuro anesthesia.

Multi-Site Coverage

The primary full-time need is expected to center around Rolla and Lebanon, although CRNAs supporting this program must have some flexibility to work across affiliated south-central Missouri locations, including Mountain View, when coverage requires it.

A CRNA scheduled in Rolla would ordinarily remain there for the day; however, occasional movement between locations may occur depending on the agreed locums arrangement and operational needs.

Candidate Profile

This opportunity is best suited for an experienced CRNA who:

• Has full-time Monday–Friday availability
• Is comfortable with weekday and weekend call
• Can practice across both outpatient and hospital-based environments
• Is comfortable with General Anesthesia and MAC
• Has broad perioperative anesthesia experience
• Can adapt to changing case assignments and coverage needs
• Is willing to support multiple affiliated locations when necessary
• Ideally has experience with regional blocks, epidurals and central lines

Additional licensure, certification, credentialing and onboarding requirements will be confirmed during candidate screening.
