Position: Water Meter Technician
Pay: $16.23/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Status: Temp-to-Hire

MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
The Lee Group is seeking reliable and motivated Water Meter Technicians to support one of our valued clients in Chesapeake, VA. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors, are detail-oriented, and can work independently while following assigned routes. As a Water Meter Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate water usage readings and maintaining essential water system components.
Job Responsibilities of Water Meter Technician:
Read and record water meter readings along assigned routes.
Inspect, remove, replace, and repair water meters and related components.
Identify and report discrepancies or issues with meters and systems.
Interact with customers and the public, including delivering notices and responding to inquiries.
Maintain inventory of parts and materials; assist with ordering supplies.
Operate a vehicle to travel routes and report any vehicle issues.
Complete routine administrative tasks such as reports, logs, and documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications of Water Meter Technician:
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to perform basic math and complete reports accurately.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Comfortable working independently and outdoors in varying conditions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
