Job description

Snelling is recruiting for a Meter Processing Representative for a copier company in the Cullman, AL area. The Meter Processing Representative supports meter reading operations by processing meter data and ensuring accurate customer billing.
 
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00-5:00
Pay: $16.00/hr to start
 
Key Responsibilities of Meter Processing Representative:
  • Prepare and enter transactions to initiate or correct customer billing
  • Perform data entry for name changes, rereads, and billing adjustments
  • Review customer billing history to support accurate corrections
  • Process and verify readings transferred via electronic meter reading systems
  • Schedule customer appointments for meter reading issues, as needed
  • Run and work assigned reports using existing or new systems
  • Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, mail handling, and message routing
 
Qualifications & Skills Required of Meter Processing Representative:
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and standard office equipment 
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of utility rates and billing codes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with both internal teams and external customers
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and clerical skills
