Position Details:
  • Pay is $20.00 an hour
  • Schedule is Monday - Friday starting at 7am

Position Summary:
The Merchandiser is responsible for pricing and setting customer's stores. The Merchandiser reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the geographical area they service. A Merchandiser may be either permanent in the position, or a temporary Sales Trainee assigned to the department as part of his/her ongoing sales training program/schedule.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the training of new fellow merchandisers on how to properly price and set customer shelving.
  • Assists in creating customer store lay-outs upon request, placing the order via a telxon unit, arranging delivery to the store, and physically pricing and merchandising the product at the customer's store.
  • Submits proper forms for employee re-imbursement, such as: travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel, etc.
  • Participates in company annual shows by setting up and tearing down of the convenience store displayed at the show.
  • Records unsalable merchandise when re-setting customer stores, in order for customer to receive credit.
  • Assists when necessary, in delivering and unloading of orders and returns.
  • Assists the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of all merchandising supplies, such as: mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, labels, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Required Qualifications
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 6+ months merchandising experience
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance and must be able to travel to customer locations
• Driver's license with clear driving record
• Frequent Activity- Will lift products weighing from 5-25 lbs. This is done throughout the day. May also lift a case of product or tote which could weigh up to 70 lbs.
