Job description

Ultrasonographer - PRN Temporary Position (Estimated Need- 6 weeks)

Day/Evening and Weekends 

Starting wage - $39.41 - $59.11 (based on experience)

Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Satisfactory completion of an accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • BLS certification
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas
  • Strong communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Takes initiative to confirm orders are accurate.
  • Reviews patient history for necessary information (lab results, surgeries, etc.).
  • Performs difficult manipulative skills to obtain diagnostic images on all patients (outpatient, inpatient, ER, OR, and portable).
  • Uses independent judgment to evaluate images and related data to interpret exams and provides preliminary findings to the radiologist.
  • Performs invasive procedures.
  • Takes call on a rotating basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
