These positions are often filled to cover staff shortages, seasonal increases in workload, or special projects. Temporary medical laboratory scientists work in hospitals, clinics, or research labs and must meet the same qualifications and standards as permanent staff. The role typically involves analyzing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring quality control. Temporary positions can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the employer’s needs.
