The Imaging Technologist I is responsible for performing radiographic procedures, ionizing radiation to render optimum images, which are used to support diagnoses and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions. This position conducts preliminary analysis on images and collaborates with doctors and other Healthcare professionals to interpret images. This position assists with training students and technologists and performs injection procedures. The Imaging Technologist I is required to be qualified to care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they understand procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Sign on Bonus available (Ask Talent Acquisition Advisor if eligible for Sign-on Bonus)

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9pm - 7:30am

  • Gather information on patients' illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy. Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and answer patient questions. Ensure patients are not exposed to excessive amounts of radiation.

  • Position the patient and equipment correctly to produce results with the best quality.Operate machine properly in order to produce clear imaging results of a patient's body. Observe the equipment to make sure that it is working properly. Adjusting dials to make sure the machine is set at the proper voltage and radiation levels.

  • Take X-rays of patient's tissue, organs and bones to evaluate for possible injury or illness.

  • Write detailed reports about the patient's behavior or any machine malfunctions.

  • Clean, maintain, and restock inventory in examination rooms.

  • Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.

  • Assist with ACR, HFAP, ISBOH, IDPH, and IEMA.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Radiology Certificaterequired

  • Associate's Degreepreferred

  • Indiana Radiology Student PermitORRadiology Licenserequired

  • ARRT-Rrequiredwithin 1 year of hire

  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association required
