Position Summary
The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and processing billing transactions for our ENT and Allergy medical practices. This role involves accurately preparing and submitting claims, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely collections. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify insurance information and patient demographics for accuracy.
  • Monitor and follow up on unpaid or denied claims, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized billing records and documentation.
  • Perform regular audits of billing activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with the Billing Manager and other team members to improve billing processes and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and billing practices.
